  10. This is a Very helpful program for anyone who owns an Amiga Computer.
  11. If you know how to work a mouse, then download this program now!!!

  13. The concept is simple:
  14.  
  15.    Started as an lzx - lha unarchiver,
  16.       Turned into something much more.
  17.  
  18.    This program puts an AppIcon on your WorkBench screen and just sits there
  19.    until you drop something on it.
  20.    If you're not sure what something is, just drop it onto Drop_Zone and if
  21.    you have a datatype for that file, then Drop_Zone will do whatever it needs
  22.    to do.

  24.    For example:
  25.    If your file is a jpeg picture and you have a jpeg datatype, Drop_Zone
  26.    will display that picture using multiview.
  27.    If you drop a sound file onto Drop_Zone, then the sound will be played.

  29.    Files everywhere - what the heck is this? - Drop it onto the AppIcon and
  30.    you will know!

  34.    Drop_Zone also unarchives lzx and lha files.

  36.    It works the same way.
  37.    Drop the compressed file onto the AppIcon and a requester pops up
  38.    asking you where you would like to unarchive it at.

  40.    Drop_Zone supports multiple file drops and also has a requester mode
  41.    where everything can be done with requesters instead of Icons.

  43.    In requester mode, when choosing multiple files, just hold the shift
  44.    key down and pick the files that you want.

  50.    It does not interfere with any programs that you are running and it's
  51.    very system friendly.

  77.    This is very simple.

  79.    I did not include an installer script, but that's alright because there
  80.    ain't nothing to it.

  82.    After you unarchive the file, you will see The Drop_Zone program and
  83.    a drawer named "Ext_Pic"

  86.    1) Put The Drop_Zone program any where you want to.

  88.    I suggest that you put it in WbStarup where it will be available on
  89.    startup.

  93.    2) Put the "Ext_Pic" drawer in your prefs/presets drawer.

  95.    This is the only place to put this drawer.
  96.    If you put it anywhere else, Drop_Zone will not run.

  98.    Inside the "Ext_Pic" drawer is a picture named "here"
  99.    Do Not change the name of this picture or Drop_Zone will not run.

  105.    Be sure that you have reqtools.lib installed in your libs drawer or
  106.    Drop_Zone will not run.

  108.    ReqTools.lib can be found on aminet.

  110.    When Drop_Zone is cranked up, it places a menu item named Drop_Zone onto
  111.    you WorkBench menu bar.

  113.    Just choose this menu item and the rest is up to you.
